Anne Ketover Watkins, Esq. has practiced in the field of immigration law for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoys assisting people from around the world in resolving their immigration matters. Ms. Ketover Watkins graduated with honors with a Juris Doctor degree in 1994 from Tulane Law School, in New Orleans, Louisiana and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year. She completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Child Study at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts in 1990. While at Tufts, she also studied abroad at the University of Seville, in Seville, Spain. Ms. Ketover Watkins began her career in Immigration Law in 1995 in Miami, Florida with the Haitian Catholic Center, Legal Project (now known as Catholic Legal Services), a non-profit Immigration Law firm. As staff attorney there for three years, she represented individuals seeking political asylum, cancellation of removal, and other relief before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and immigration court. In 1998, she moved to St. Lucie County on the Treasure Coast of Florida. She worked with Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. in Ft. Pierce, Florida, a non-profit law firm, handling divorces for victims of domestic violence, as well as special education matters. She then became the Supervising Attorney at the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, Inc., a non-profit law firm also in Ft. Pierce, Florida, representing immigrants in family-based immigration matters, as well as in immigration court proceedings. She also provided outreach to underserved populations. Ms. Ketover Watkins opened her own Immigration Law practice, Anne Ketover Watkins, P.A., in April of 2000 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Her firm is solely devoted to Immigration Law. She has handled a wide variety of matters including but not limited to family and employment based visas, visas for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crimes, Special Immigrant Juvenile Visas, Naturalization and Citizenship, Consular Processing, Labor Certifications, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and Temporary Protected Status. Ms. Ketover Watkins is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Port St. Lucie Bar Association, the St. Lucie County Bar Association, and the 19th Judicial Circuit Victim’s Rights Coalition. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks basic Creole.In March of 2019, Ms. Ketover Watkins was delighted to join the Immigration Law firm of Acosta and Fraga Law, PLLC as Of Counsel. She also maintains her current practice at Anne Ketover Watkins, P.A.A resident of Florida since 1975, Anne Ketover Watkins is married and has two children. She enjoys spending time at the beach and with her family.
